Story | New history courses

University to offer two new global history courses.

The best part about TommieMedia is that it makes it necessary to be aware of what’s going on. I would have never known that two new history courses are being added beginning next year, but for this story I got to learn what these classes entail and enlighten myself about the history department’s plan to revamp all history classes in the near future. Sweet.

Slideshow | M. track & field

Men’s track and field competes in first outdoor meet.

It was a fairly beautiful day for a track meet – sunny, but deceiving with an arctic wind bringing some it’s-not-quite-spring-yet chill along with it. But despite the length of the meet (4.5 hours), it was an enjoyable event to photograph. Although, I don’t know how I would feel if I were a runner and some random girl was snapping pictures of me as I ran by red-faced, huffing and puffing.

Full coverage | ‘tAG tEAM for life’ show

PULSE, Dance Club perform ‘tAG tEAM for life’.

I was really excited to cover this show because it had been a while since I’d gotten to do a photo slideshow. However, the need for both pictures and video turned out to be a little more stressful than I thought; I was left switching between the Flip cam and the Canon [which also required switching lenses] the entire time. I think if I had had to focus on one thing, I could have done better, but I am fairly satisfied with the final product!

Video interviews | April Fools’ pranks

Students share April Fools’ Day pranks.

I love listening to good prank stories – they’re both entertaining and useful in generating ideas for pranks I myself could pull : ) Although, I have yet to be pranked today, and I’d like it to stay that way!
